Yep Fangorn, everything on that Walker is from found objects (list is toooo long to post here) razor blades at the back, head-piece of an electric shaver, pieces of a model bridge, inside of an electric tooth brush, various springs, drinking straws, piece of electronic components, computer inards, etc...
The main round "eyes" on the head are from make-up lids my GF gave me (sacrificed...her words) |

Thank gosh there was no blood HA HA! it is just fantastic! Did you use all cardboard and plastic misc. parts on it? The stance of the walker is right on, Keep posting more of your stuff ! It is just awesome! RIGHT ON!!!!!

joberg! you rock sir!
not a big Star Wars fan - except for the first three. excuse my ignorance but isn't the Walker the same thing as an AT-AT? i remember i wanted the toy version so bad as kid - right after tESB came out. of course those bad boys were a small fortune and only the rich kids got one.
my dad got me the model kit instead...
i heard Lucas was inspired by the container cranes at the shipyards in San Francisco. i see them every weekend when i cross the Golden Gate Bridge and think about those AT-ATs every time...
thanks for the memories joberg - a kick-ass job indeed!
