Neils new thread got me thinking and I dug these out of storage and couldnt beleive they were still mostly together.
Got them when Empire came out and apart from an original series Enterprise were the only ones i ever put together.
I screwed up with the Falcon as it came with lights that would have
looked amazing but couldnt get my head around even the most basic
of electronics at the time and never put them in.............spewin

just beautiful mate! the first model i ever built w/ my dad as a kid was the M.Falcon you have right here. if i remember correctly, there was a small lever to turn the rear lights on to give it that afterburner effect?
my dad was a great modeler and he took a bunch of aluminum foil, balled it up, and inserted it behind the little lights to splash the rear thrust effect a bit more. i was about 10 so i am not sure who had more fun ... but seeing your models just flooded me with some great memories. thanks again amigo - and great job on the AT-AT! i think of them every time i pass through the shipyards in San Fran ... the ship loaders - which were Lucas' inspiration for the AT-AT. _________________ two legs bad, four legs good. |

When I built my AMT Falcon as a kid, I hated that engine, so I took a bunch of F1 engine bells and other engine parts I had lying around, and built those into there instead! |

Nice Karl, yeah, I always thought they needed more detail even then but didnt think to retrofit other bits. Any chance of pics or is it a long lost treasure? _________________ Formerly offworld66 |
