Guys, I'm trying to keep myself busy despite what's going on in these days, and so I'm getting from a friend a high resolution version of our beloved movie.
Has anyone ever posted high resolution movie captions where we can see our details of interest? If not, I might give it a try as soon as I get the DVD.

Cheers

Alex

Good luck keeping busy Alex mate.

In answer to your question, there is an impressive collection of HiDef images over at Los Angeles, 2019 ( http://www.tyrell-corporation.pp.se/ ).

Check the side menu bar for: "Blade Runner Images/High Definition Captures"

Well, I'm demuxing all the discs, BluRay edition and DVD, so, I have all the movie versions and featurettes, deleted scenes, ALL in frame by frame snapshots. If you need some specific shot, ask for it.

Final Cut is 176240 frames long. Circa 300Gb of hi-res PNG images.

The rest... in all... circa 1Tb.... Razz

The site is nice Andy, but to be fair there are not enough frames of the blaster Wink

My friend told me that there's such a huge amount of details coming out more in every single scene overall, that it's like looking at a new movie! Can't wait to have it and try it on my HD tv hehehe
I have an 24'' iMac and watching the frames that he sent me on the Mac screen is quite stunning, they almost fill the screen!

Gaff. As a lover of the movie, I can not express enough to you how much you need to see the final cut in HD. The amount of detail and atmosphere it adds brings the film to a whole other level. Not to mention that they updated and fixed all the mattes and backpaintings, etc.

It's truly a work of art now.

I think I've gone from watching it a few times a year to watching it at least once a month.

Many people are saying HD. Is this in reference to the former HD disc system as opposed to blu ray?
I only ask as i have seen BR on blu ray and it is superb, does the HD version look better or are we just talking generic hi def?

Just High Def, regardless of format. Since the TV's are called HD, as are HD TV channels it is more in reference to the image not the recording format.
