Dear (new) friends,

I know that it will sound crazy, and trust me I can hardly believe it myself, but in the last hours I managed to find out what really happened to Siderio.

I am Italian as well, and yesterday, while looking for another blaster on eBay, I managed to get in contact with another friend of Siderio who also sells movie props.

As many of you know, Siderio's mum was ill and he dedicated all his time to her, but the sad irony of destiny eventually claimed his life one night, as he passed away because of a heart attack.

Siderio had always said that if anything happened to him, his stuff should have been sold to help his ill mother.

So that's what happened, all the remaining material went to his friend Michele (the person I got in contact with) who produced little metal and resin parts for their kits.

Unfortunately Michele doesn't speak a good english, so he kindly asked me to help him selling the last 5 Worldcon Blaster kits that Siderio made. If any of you is interested please send me a private message and I will be glad to put you in contact with the person and translate for him.

I don't know what else to say, I still can't believe myself how I got to know all of this, but I assume the least I could do would be to let you all know this, and dedicate a minute for a thought to a person that made our little dream of having an accurate replica of the blaster come true.

Cheers

Alex

For some reason I had a feeling that something like this had happened. I am very sorry to hear this. My thoughts go out to his family.

Jeez, that's absolutely horrible news. Do you know how long ago this happened?

I hope that the rest of his family will manage to cope with his loss.

My best wishes to their family. Never talk with him, but in fact I have their name in my contact list to meet soon. Sad, very sad news.

Sorry to hear this. I also had a feeling his own health may have been a reason for his absence.

Sid was a very generouse guy. He pretty much sent me all the upgrade parts when I only ordered a few. I couldn't have made my WC properly without those additional parts. so it was like he knew I'd need them Wink

Rest In Peace Siderio.

Yeah, I had a feeling too that something serious must have happened.

Perhaps we can setup a memorial fund for his mother, I can't imagine selling 5 blasters is going to help much, and if Sid was her primary care giver, she could be in need of much more.

Just a thought.

Rest in Peace Sid.

Even if I am just a messenger and I never got to know him directly I would like to thank you all, your words are very nice and I think he really made a little dream of ours come true with his passion and work.

I will try to know more about his mother's conditions, I don't know very much about her.

Cheers

Alex
