Got mine and damn this is a fine replica!
BTW is this old news, or did anybody realize that the badge does in fact fit into the wallet?

I got my set yesterday and I'm thoroughly impressed, both with the workmanship and the customer service.
Thank you Gary!
P.S. Please start working on that metal police hat eagle badge! |

OK, the second list is done. All that were paid for are shipped. One person did not follow through, so I have that set and a couple others available.
Re. the black on the badges, it is not paint. It is an actual acid etch that transforms the metal. It apparently is very tough.
Hmmmmm...wonder if it could be used on the metal Coyle or Siderio blasters>>> Polish up the metal parts to a bright shine, then do the black acid etch. I have to ask my metalsmith! Does anyone know the composition of the metal used in the metal blasters??
OK. Bottom line is I have a few big badge sets left or coming from the metalsmith. Anyone interested please contact me. I have a couple in hand ready to ship. I have a couple more coming from the metal smith since I get them in small batches. They are scaled based on the screen used "POLICE 995" plate I got from Coyle over a decade ago, maybe two decades. They are designed based on Karl's Worldcon photos and with his permission to use his photos for the design. |

I think Rich uses pewter, but I don't know the specific composition. I'm not sure about Siderio.
By the way, I love my badge set, eltee. Really beautiful work. Thanks again! _________________ "Your old titles mean nothing here... Captain!" |

Well, I've finaly completed my badges, with the appropriate photo and clear plastic glass... Yes, I know, plastic was supposed to be yellow, but you can reverse the process : Use the photo Karl T. took of the real thing and just add a clear piece of plastic (I scavanged a toy blister for mine) and it's done !
Thanks again Eltee for the good work you've provided on this incredible set !

|
|
My metalsmith who has been battling cancer for two years (caused a delay in this project) made a few more large badge sets. These are going to be unfinished. They are cleaned and polished, but will not have the black acid etching on them because he's unable to do them right now.
These are the large badges with the photo ring and the "POLICE 995" plate. $125.00 per set shipped within CONUS. Save a few bucks and do a grey wash yourself. |

Bump. Still have a few of this most recent batch for sale. Reduced cost as you need to do the grey/black wash yourself. |
