Cheap acrylic Blaster Stands

I had these made because I could not find ones that would work well enough for the prices they were asking.




I designed them to be minimalist and work with as many of the different blasters as possible. Including the Offworld, Hartford (both shown), all Coyle versions, Rick Ross PKD's, and stunt castings, to name a few.

Unfortunately the guy who made them for me used a router to cut them out from the template, so the cut out "notches" have radius's inside that had to be filed out. Still they only cost me a few bucks each and of course I can have more made if anybody needs them. Actually I had extra made to begin with

good idea! saves space and is less distracting on the eye. would it fit a sidkit? How does it handle the weight of each blaster? sidkit is one heavy mofo so do you think the gun would topple over if the surface the stand is on was knocked?

I tested it with each blaster except the SidKit. It does fit the Sid, but it is more top heavy than any of the other guns. The weight of the handle keeps all the other guns including the Hartford very well balanced, and I couldn't knock these over with even a pretty good push. The handle acts as a self righting weight, pulling it back in the opposite direction of the lean.

The Sidkit could be attached to a larger base pretty easily if it needed, and the body does fit the cut outs. I was initially worried about the balance but even on my wire shelves they stay very nicely.

I gave enough extra material in the stands too that they could be filed down to fit each blaster more level. I even added a circular cut out in the front that allows it to fit the PKD snub too, just not as prettily.

I just did a quick test with a Sidkit and it seems very well balenced as well. I rocked my work table back and forth and everything else fell over except the Gun

One note is that these are not polished and if you were displaying a painted gun it probably should be.

I will start a List in the prop shop soon to see if I need to order a bunch more of these. I still have to figure out my pricing too.

They will only fit the "Deckard" style guns, but they might fit the Hartford snubb. Sof far I have tested them with...
-Hartford
-Coyle V3
-Coyle 80's Stunt with Electronics
-PKD 2
-PKD Snub (not as neat of a fit but works)
-Sidkit Resin and Metal
-Offworld
-Wilco
-Movie used 2nd gen(or later) stunt castings.

I don't believe they will fit the COP guns, but they may be able to fit some other versions with a bit more filing/grinding down. I may be able to offer cheaper versions that have not had the radius's filed down yet as well for under 10$ no problem. If they need to be cut down or polished they would go up in price until I can figure out how much work is needed on each. If somebody has a dremel I am sure they could be done pretty easy. I am limited to how I can work right now because my workspace also happens to be my bedroom

I just tested one of these on a PKD-1 and it fits, but the grip does touch the ground. I would suspect the Newer Worldcon versions might have the same issue. It does still work fine though. If some one did want this to be completely suspended they would have to attach the stand to a base to give it a little more height.

Here it is with a Syd Mead concept gun.


A bit short, but with a riser of about 1" it would work.

I am also looking into sliced rubber tubing to help protect the finish of the painted guns.
