I've been thinking of making the coat on my android hunter doll more screen accurate in colour, but this would require making it lighter in colour. is there something on the market that can do this? I imagine just bleaching it would make a patchy mess _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. Let him worry about it" Harrison Ford |

Repeated washings in regular detergent, not the color safe kind that preserves color. That and having a few other articles of fabric in there. Anything like bleach is likely going to fail to give a uniform lightening of the color. _________________

Wash in hot water to try and draw some of the color out. personally I rather like the color of the Android Hunters Jacket. Makes it look like it did when it was wet

I guess I will never get it accurately the same colour as the movie coat and you're right andy, the wet look colour is pretty neat _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. Let him worry about it" Harrison Ford |

If you reconsider your idea to lighten it I would suggest removing it from the figure and laying it in direct sunlight. After a couple of day's flip it over.
This WILL fade it. |

What Once-Bitten said, the sun will discolour anything anytime and do not forget to put the sleeves away from the sides; you do not want to have a two-toned coat. |
