Hi,I recently acquired two original screen used brass Tyrell Building panels used in the film Blade Runner.I can't figure out how to post the pics on this site(even with HTML from photobucket).I'm on a photography site called Flickr,my user name is djrees56 if anyone wants a look at them. They where acid etched buy hand because laser etching didn't exist back in the early 80's.I acquired them from Bryan Ebenhock's E-bay store(he actually got hired buy Riddley Scott in the late 80's).Its hard to take bad photos of them cause they're so photogenic.
They're not for sale,I'm just excercising "Boasting Rights".Hope you like the pics.

These are brass-etched? Why would someting so intricate and detailed be manufatured for a movie? Not doubting what the OP says, it's just puzzling... Smile

Because Ridley Scott loves extensive detail.

I like the one with the guy sitting in the Tyrell building.I'm almost tempted to make chair like that.Yep...sitting in it just like him watching T.V.The smaller buildings would make great end tables.....Whats the name of that man??? He looks alot like Richard D. Zanuck(one of the big producers of the "Jaws" film)

So these panels are three inches wide but how long are they?
I have an etching tank and am thinking about trying my hand at re-creating them.

OB, if you ever etch those or any of the Hades landscape keep me informed. I have seen a few recreations of these from some 'California guys' in the past.

Also sorry for the hijacking too, nice Pyramid panels. Smile

Well, not to hijack this thread either but I'm looking forward to starting a new thread on etching brass...I have a note sent to Tom about it, hope to hear from him soon.

Hijack my posts all you want folks.Thats why I put them in.I have a grudge against some people who get ahold of a "choice" prop and hide it away for years. Its like they're afraid that what they have will get "sight germs" on it.
