				| Wow, spectacular stuff. Heh, thinking about it now... Blade Runner has been the reason I always prefer my computers and accessories to be BLACK. | |

				| i was wondering what ever happened to the Voight Kampf replicas? i know of one recently commissioned replica, but haven't heard much about this interesting little prop...(am i on the wrong thread?)
anyway, i was looking for some gear for work and came across some machines that made me instantly think of the VK - perhaps a next gen version.

anyway, just thought i'd share these cool images:

				| The tascam is awesome, all it needs is the telescopic arm. I assume you could run your own vision in the screen.......nice big bloodshot eye. It looks expensive, did you get the price photek? _________________

				| I moved this from the "studio scale" thread, because it is for scale models. I put it here for now, but it may also belong in the replica and screen used props section.

				| Thanks Andy - i never know where to put what.
Hey Off World - glad you liked the sots. I was thinking exactly the same thing. A couple of minor mods and viola. The Tascam goes for about $1000 ... probably cheaper to commission an exact replica!

				| Well folks, since I'm not getting younger, I decided to build a 1:1 VK machine. Is it accurate? No, since nobody gave us detailled pics of the original props it's all guessing work. This is only a step by step and not a tutorial, if somebody wants a crack at it using some of my stuff: go right ahead and have fun

				| Yep, little monitors also...I'll have to come up with some kind of images to fill them (and lights of course). I think I found the eye for the big screen; will post more pics as that baby progresses | |

				| O.k. ladies and gents, other pics : fitting the 3 buttons on the right hand side of the machine ( yes, they're clear pieces of plexis, they'll have to be painted white and back-lit) and lighting the main screen...no, I'm not versed in monitor techniques, so I opted for a back-lit picture of the eye. Btw, I'm using a light-saving light bulb to reduce the heat (and my electricity bill )

				| Well, you know, in 2019 I'm sure the retro-fitting/planet saving was at its best | |

				| Time to put the roof on that baby (remember: Bondo is your best friend lol) also the grooved parts (top and bottom near the 3 buttons)...and then it'll be time for the dreaded coat of grey (best/worst colour to see all the problems with your model/prop)

				| I decided to clad the wood with plasti-card; that way I'll have a better finish and, hopefully, less paint. Of course, since I like to hurt meself, the application of the plasti-card was a pain, but I came through . Here's also a picture of the back-lit screen and the eye...sorry for the quality of the picture...low batteries
