				| Wow! Now that's what a prop kit should look like, nice and clean right out of the box! I've only been browsing prop forums for a short time, but that has to be the nicest kit I've seen to date. _________________

				| Got my kits. Have had about 3 minutes to look at one. Never fails, all the time in the world until a kit comes in the mail and suddenly spare time evaporates! | |

I got my kit a week or so ago and I have been able to take it out of the box and put it back in. Time is so short around the holidays.

Anyway, after the holidays I want to pick up a couple more kits and then hopefully start building.

				| Both kits arrived last night - quite cool! High-class castings - not a lot of cleanup to do. Time is no more plentiful for me than for others, unfortunately, but I'll see what can be done.
Any thoughts on painting schemes? Will it be "brand new" or "well worn"? Or maybe the WorldCon "unrestored" look?

Thanks, again, Rick. These are great kits!

				| As for painting, I have been thinking a graphite color with some black highlights..... Using the black on the handle, and trigger guard and everything else graphite....
 Hmmm, the possibilities are endless

				| Hi,
I'm glad you guys like the kits. ENERO brought something to my attention that I should mention about the batteries. In the directions I specify 1.5V Button Cell batteries that can be purchased at Radio Shack in the "Hearing Aid" pack. Actually these batteries are 1.4V each. They will work fine. The resistor that I selected and included in the kit is rated for the 1.5V batteries, but it works well with the 1.4V. If anything, the 1.4V batteries should last longer because of this resistor.

Please feel free to ask me any questions if you should have any.

 Thank you again.

 Sincerely,
 Rick

				| Sure thing!
Once I primed the built kit after I beat the heck out of it, I used a brush and stiple painted on "Sculpt Nouveau's" Iron filled paint. When it was dry, I simply applied one of their patinas to create the rust. It's real rust. The stiple effect with the brush gives pitted metal texture to the model.

				| I just did a few hours on the kit I got from Rick... it's a blast to work on... but I'm having a weird spot... can someone post a pic or two for me? I did almost all the clean-up tonight, and everything test-fits nicely... but it's a bit weird where the lightbox fits into the compartment, and where that assembly fits onto the main body. It's hard for me to tell if there's flashing in there... and what needs to be cleaned up to make the fit cleaner. Does anyone have any pics of that area? Looking up at it from the bottom? I have a weird little gap behind the lightbox... and a weird joining area where that assemble attaches to the gunbody. Any hints would be very awesome!!!
 TIA,
 -r!

I swear that looks like it's spent about a week in Piedmont North Carolina red clay soil. When I was a kid I left my Mattel Fanner 50 in the back yard for a couple days and it looked just like that!

				| Talk about a testament to the quality of Rick's work! That sucker was abandoned on some backwater off-world colony for 44 years and the damned LEDs still work like new. Incredible! _________________
