Well it seems all my non-friends are all here to rake me over the coals once again.

(Damm it where did I put the Nuclear Detonator ???)

I use the term non-friends as I do not think of you as enemies, just as someone who does not understand me or is messed up and I do not understand.

Or for a few who have a axe to grind and I am flavor of the month.

Or a few I would not take shit from and who can not handle that either.

Or who think I am someone else and I did not live up to my fame.

What ever.

I do not go out of my way to make non-friends, I do go out of my way to make friends and I really do try to keep them if at all possible.

All I wanted to do was make the best props I could and to A) Share them with friends and B) Make a living doing A).

Mind you, I did hope to get Rich, I just tried to make a living. Lord know no one got rich MAKING props.

You get rich going to Hong Kong and getting cheap props and selling them for tons of money.

How I got so many non-friends is a little beyond me.

There are a few things I can not stand, being ripped off, being told I was not ripped off.

And I don’t like taking shit from anyone.

Well it has been 30 years and I had more fun and less trouble so it was a good thing.

I was on the sets of Star Trek and saw props I made in many films and TV shows.

It has been good.

So long and thanks for all the fish.

Rich

Yeah, once again, Rich this doesn't belong in the prop forum buddy, so I moved it, sorry.

Moved to "news from around the hobby" because I really don't know where else to put a proclamation of someone leaving. If it goes bad, in the pit it goes.

Personally, I'd rather you didn't leave Rich.

I know the thing with Sid has you pissed off though, so you do what you have to do.

Rich,

I too would rather see you stay. Please know that at Propsummit we want open communication and people to be able to discuss what they feel. I understand you may have felt targeted, but people have been sharing their opinions just as you have been sharing your opinions about Siderio.

While I understand your wanting to leave, I hope you will reconsider. If you decide not to post anymore, please know this community is always open to you.

Thank you for your time here and I hope you will return.

Tom

Don't worry, Rich will be back when he wants to sell his wares again. I have heard this all before.

I believe we're all supposed to beg him to stay

I find it very hard to be civil to anyone posting anything so utterly contrived.

It's a pity more people didn't tell Mr Coyle to be civil over the past week or so.
All the name calling and character assassination boils down to CASH and very little else.

I'm also completely sick of his incessant ranting.

So once again, bye.

I still very much appreciate what Rich's has done for the hobby, and also understand many of his issues. I just find it hard to agree with him 100%. He sees all of this as black and white as it affects his livelyhood. I can say I try to be more objective, but I also am just a hobbyist that is here to have fun. I do hope that his new endevors will help him step away from this particular prop and its issues and someday he will come back as an enthusiast.

The guy feels his work has been ripped off and I can understand and fell for him.But these attacks on him are not called for man.

What attacks?

seriously?

After all that was said about Sid, Mr Coyle was still prepared to declare a truce if he was sent $14,000 worth of kits.

Not the actions of someone who feels ripped off.

This is about MONEY, nothing else.

Hi Tain,

I sent you a pm, but otherwise, we want people to openly communicate here and share their opinions. While some opinions may not be shared by everyone, each person's opinion is welcome.

I hope you understand and know that you and your opinions are welcome here.

Thanks!

Tom

Thank you Amish.I understand .But I really get ticked off when some of these guys just don't use there heads.Every one here is good be fore a few people who knock people trying to make a living. There is too much bs out there in the world and cheap attacks on people who are not here to defend themselves or those who don't want to do business with people who don't have the resoures to have paypal accounts make me feel like I'm the low man out.thats all for now

Tain,

I understand, but please know that if someone is selling something and they choose to use paypal, that is there choice. Personally, when I sell something I only accept paypal as well.

As for what people are posting, that is there right to do so. As well, it is Rich's right to defend himself if he wishes.

I hope you understand.

Tom

I understand Tom.But I alway used to think that a mans word was good for something.I have really low resoures right now and I really want to get the best props I can.Rich to me is one of the best when it come to working with his product. But when you get these bozos out here opening their mouths on subject that are really nothing to them they hurt it for people like myself.it's not their business who does with others here.maybe if they didn't stick their noses into other people business and if people would take ohter peoples work and not worry about getting the money paid then we wouldn't have this talk.

This forum is open to all and many here behave as so many others do on every other fan board. I have been learning to take it all with a grain of salt and try very hard not to behave the same way. The medium itself seems to help create this type of behavior, and we all have to try and just keep ourselves cool and not take it all so personally.

I do find however that after weeding through all the chuff, there are often some good points I may have not considered. So I try and focus on the good stuff as much as I can. Believe me though I am far from perfect too. In the end though it is supposed to be a hobby, but since it is underground making it the focus of your life is usually a mistake. Also jumpinng on and off bandwagons only seem to give us broken ankles.

I do wish people here would be better than those on other boards, but that is impossible to do without making this into a rule laden autocracy.

I say lead by example if you can. I know it is hard because it is human nature to mirror those you are communicating with, but if you can, maybe you can get them to mirror you.
