since you mentioned stands i came up with this for lighting them up watch lumen.
OK no batteries to light them so you cant really see it until it goes dark  but i think it looks ... |

have a look see sorry for the drawing quality but it gives a good idea. i used a dremel with a very fine saw not much of a gap worked a treat.
